IMYAYR #2

This week, I am reading the book Eleven by Tom Rogers. The reason I am reading this is because I saw someone reading it, I thought it looked really interesting, so I asked them if the book was good and they said it was amazing. This is about a boy named Alex Douglas and all he wants for his birthday is a dog, but the interesting thing about this book is that it is based on September 11th, 2001!There are 2 parts to the story so far, there is Alex’s story and “The man in the white shirt”. I hope you consider reading this book!

The Life of an Avocado

Hello! I am an avocado. I am going to tell you about my life.

I was born somewhere in Mexico and brought to a place called “The United States of America”. Then, I was taken hostage to a place called a “grocery store”. It was SO huge and there was so many scary things! Then, I was put into a place with a bunch of things that look like me. Then these things started grabbing the things that look like me and were putting them into clear thing’s. I was SO close to being snatched by one of the weird things but luckily I wasn’t. Then, the container I was in got picked up and was taken to a place called a “dump”. Then they dumped me and the rest of the things that looked like me out of the container. I started to feel kind of small and shriveled.any other. WARNING: This may be disturbing to other avocado’s. Then this big thing stepped on me and I DIED!

The End!

Wonderopolis Writing

Article: Do you need special shoes to tap dance?

So, I am having a very weird day. I was walking down the sidewalk when I stopped and turned around and saw someone clog dancing on the other side of the sidewalk. I just shrugged and ignored the person dancing. Then, I saw another random person dancing in the grass. This time, it looked like they were doing Irish step dancing. Now that I am watching it, it is quite cool and mesmerizing to watch!I just shook it off and went on with my day. Then guess what happened next? There was another dancer in the grass dancing their heart out. This one is doing a Spanish flamenco dance on the side of the sidewalk. Now I knew I was thinking something was going on. I kept on walking but now I was keeping a better watch on things. Then you’ll never guess what I saw on the side of the sidewalk. ANOTHER DANCER DANCING ON THE SIDE OF THE SIDEWALK! This time, it was a girl in tap shoes doing an  “a Cappella” dance on a big plank of wood. This time I was so curious that I went up to the girl and asked her what she was doing. Then the girl said to me that they were dancing to try to raise money for pediatric cancer! Then I look down at her feet to see a case full of money! Then I put $5 into the case and went back to ALL the dancers and donated for the cause. SO, this day may have been weird, but I helped someone in need! So I guess that makes the weird day better!

A Mistake

A mistake.  Everyone does. We all HATE them and try to escape them but oh, no, you will never escape them in all of your hopefully long life. A life without mistakes is a life without learning. What if the world never made a mistake? You would never be able to make yourself stand out? You probably know the quote “Mistakes are proof that you are trying” and I totally agree with that. For example, I had gotten a bad grade  on a math test, so I studied for a retake and then ended up getting a perfect score on the retest. So whenever you get mad at yourself for making a mistake, just try to get back up and try to fix it. But, the most important thing to do is to

LEARN FROM YOUR MISTAKES!

IMWAYR #1

This Monday, I am reading a book called The Boy at the Top of the Mountain by John Boyce. This  is the same author of the The Boy in the Striped pajamas. This book is about a 7 year old boy named Pierrot that lives in France during World War II. Both of his parents die which forces him to go live in an orphanage. Then, his dad’s  sister takes him into her family. So far it is a really good book and I would suggest it to people who like Historical Fiction. Hope you consider about reading this book!

? Wonders of a 6th grader?

  1.  Why don’t we have Naptime again? When I was in kindergarten, nobody wanted to take a nap, so let’s just bring it back in 6th grade!
  1. Why can’t we have a choice e what classes we want to take now? We’ve have been in school for about 7 years, I think we know by now what we like and don’t like.
  1. Why Can’t we have wider lockers? You know, we are getting more homework now, so are backpacks will get bigger and barely fit in our locker.
  1. Why can’t we buy a computer at school and leave it at school so we could just pick it up and use it everyday? It would be more convenient and we would never forget our technology.
  1. Why can’t we pick what time we want our classes? We could be in a class with all our friends and it would make us be more excited to go to class.
